2023 Nellie Bates Awards

We invited ALL of our awesome volunteers to celebrate with us at The Rally as we thanked them for the huge impact they make as we work together to Share Christ & Build Believers. We also celebrated some specific volunteers with a new annual award.

*Nellie Bates was a young girl who began a Sunday School that became the church we now call StoneBridge. This award honors a volunteer who continues her legacy by meeting needs, sharing the love of Jesus, and leading well*

Stephanie serves at the Benson Campus with a heart of gold. She goes above and beyond and even when health became a struggle, she continued to serve. Her incredible love, especially for kids, is exemplified best in the way she serves not just on Sundays but during the week by prepping curriculum and supplies. StoneBridge wouldn’t be the same without Stephanie.

Lainie has been at the Fremont campus since it opened. She serves every week and takes great care in preparing for anyone who walks through the doors. Lainie arrives 30 minutes before she needs to just to make the first pot of coffee, get everything ready, and tend to anything she sees that might need a little extra attention. Not many people see all the ways she is serving, but her impact is great. Thank you Lainie.

Amber is quite literally the definition of a helper. Her presence and leadership at the Millard campus are so valuable, especially in times of transition. Not only does she have the ability to plan and execute events, she’s also always willing to jump in when she sees a need. She understands and lives out the mission of Sharing Christ and Building Believers. Amber is a blessing to us all at StoneBridge.

Steve and Patti are a dynamic duo with servant’s hearts.Steve is most known for his voice, sharing his talents for special moments in our Christmas services and Fireworks Bonanza. He’s also always the first one here getting ready for worship rehearsal, serving so often and across all of our campuses.Patti is a warm and welcoming personality, who cares deeply for those around her and her church. She is always willing to help out, in the office, on Sunday mornings, and during the week! She helps make the "Welcome Home" room feel like home. Her smile and positive attitude are contagious.

Bess is an awesome volunteer because of her desire for people to know Christ and make sure they have a place to belong. She is the perfect person for new people to meet on a Sunday morning. She’s also willing to help with anything and spreads the word whenever we need a team of volunteers. She cares deeply for everyone she encounters and makes sure people leave conversations feeling loved, seen, heard, and a little bit lighter than when they came.

Mason is always willing to help, takes initiative and has a positive attitude. She has served in SBKids and makes kids feel welcome from the second they step into the room. She’s not afraid to be ridiculous - which is always helpful when working in SBKids. She also led as a student while in SBYouth. She continues to support her peers in their faith journey and has been an encouragement to peers and leaders alike.
